Peek-a-boo Treat Box!

Hello everyone! We have a new exciting challenge for you this week at Digital Pencil Too and hope many of you will be happy to play along: "Anything but a Card"! So, time for us to think outside the box for a minute and make something different using one of  Mo's gorgeous images.
Ever since I've bought my Scor-pal I've been dreaming of making lots of boxes. Now was the time for me to try a new one. I wanted it to be a candy holder for a friend of mine who celebrated her birthday 2 weeks ago...lol. Which is worse is that I made this box about a week ago and half of the candies are gone...:) Hopefully I shall refill it and give it to her one day:)

The peek-a-boo box template is a design by the very talented Brenda Quintana and you can find it on the Splitcoaststampers site. I changed the dimensions as I wanted my box to be bigger- so the size of the cardstock is 8"x19". The upper side of the box will then be 4"x4" just enough to fit this adorable Mo Manning image- Bronte wants it now- one of those images which stick with me and always bring a smile on my face.

Here's a picture of the template in case someone wants to try this out. Click on the picture to  enlarge it- hope you can see the dimensions, sorry for having written them in pencil:(. In case you can't read the sizes- they are 2"-4"-2"-4"-2"-4"-1"-horizontally, and 2"-4"-2" vertically. Hope that makes sense.

Recipe for my lil box:
Image: Mo Manning- Bronte wants it now
Box Template: Brenda Quintana- Splitcoaststampers
Medium: Promarkers, copics, DI
DP: Cosmo Cricket
Dies:Cheery Lynn French Pastry Doily, circle nesties;

I have been drooling over this box since I first saw it. It is STUNNING. Love the coloring, the colors and papers just pop right out at you. I am sure your girlfriend loved it. I am laughing about the candy disapearing. In my house it would disappear all the time. With a
6'2" son in the house, I learned to hide candy on the bottom shelf. I used to hide stuff on the top shelf. But hello, that was eye level for him. So now I learned to put stuff on the bottom shelf..he doesn't bend to look for the chocolate. Hey, it works.

Kid you are soooo funny. First of all you made a box while thinking outside the box. Secondly - you ate the candy!!! Your box is gorgeous and I love those colors. I am going to give this a go - it would make wonderful gifts for my grand kids. Such fun.
