Just Magnolia DT- Christmas Gift Box

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a great week and that your weekend is going to be splendid!
It's Friday, so we have all the reasons to enjoy and moreover, it's time for a great new challenge at Just Magnolia and hAnglar and sTanglar blog; Mandy is our super-talented hostess for this week and she decided it was time for us to ink up our adorable  Christmas Maggies, get into a holiday mood and create!

I made a gift box for today using one of my favorite Maggies called Tilda with wedding gifts from a wedding collection, which I always thought as being from the Merry Little Christmas one...lol  and a decorated Christmas Tree from Mo Manning. I think these two work well together.

I love working with acetate and thought I could cut a window in the lid and sew acetate. It's just a simple box, not an exploding one, I had in mind a simple gift holder so the inside is not decorated.
I also added some cookies just to have an idea.

Materials and tools:
Stamps: Magnolia- Tilda with wedding gifts
Mo Manning-  Christmas Tree
Coloring medium: copics/promarkers
DP- Basic Grey- Nordic Holiday
Embellies; WOC flowers, metal corner and crystal stem; pearls and charm from Bunny Zoe; ribbon and pom-pom lace- The Ribbon Girl;

Challenges for my box:
Bearly Mine- Anything but a card
Crafty Ribbons- bingo
Paper Pretties -  Embellish

Thank you all for coming by today! I will do my best to catch up with my visits. I haven't been blogging lately, sorry for having been such a stranger. I'm really  grateful you keep coming to my blog and hope you will always find something to inspire you:)
Wish you all a happy weekend!

If so, pick one of Mo's adorable images and make a card, a 3D project or whatever crosses your mind just don't forget to focus on a
Now, I'm guessing many of us have already entered the Christmas spirit, so my card today will all be about Christmas and its magic; so eventually I had the chance to play with these two adorable elves Mo has sop generously offered to us a while ago, and I'm so grateful because I simply adore them:).Thanks Mo!
I merged the two images and added snow marker on their hats. I like the result:)

Nothing fancy about the inside; since I'm a bit in a hurry making these Christmas cards I thought I'd better stick to embellishing 2 panels and keep the inside simple.

Embellishments: Wild Orchid Crafts flowers, metal corner, lace from stash
flower in in inside made with a maple leaf punch

Just Magnolia DT card

Hi there dear friends! I have a special announcement for you today: one of my crafting "idols" out there, Bev Rochester, has asked me to join the Just Magnolia design team. Needles to say my answer was "YES!!!" although I must admit I didn't have in mind joining any DT  for the moment. I thought I'd leave that for my senior years...lol. But I practically started my crafting journey drooling over my new teamies' blogs and I just couldn't say no. Plus, I've really missed my Maggies; no idea why these mouth-less little guys have found a way to my heart and I love creating things with them.

So, without further ado, here's my card for today:

I thought I'd use some of my sunny days Magnolias before jumping straight into winter and Chrissy cards. I somehow want to delay that:) I don't plan making lots of Chrissy cards this year, no time for this anyways.

Oky, so the challenge theme over at Just Magnolia,  our lovely Dawny had in mind for you today is:

Distressing
We all want our cards -and cards only:)- to look a bit "distressed" so we look forward for a huge participation in the draw. As usual, there are some amazing prizes this week too, so what are you waiting for?:)
I imagined my card  as a picture holder too; just forgot to add some pics under the acetate sleeves, looks fantastic with them.

Recipe:
Medium; copics, promarkers,
Embellishments: WOC flowers, bling and ribbon
Dies; label 14 nestabilities, Magnolia grass die, Magnolia Flower die
Sentiment; Lili of the Valley

Thank you so much for being here. Wish you all a happy week-end!

Card for Sister:)

Hi there! Thank you for being here, I'm overwhelmed by your support and kind words. This is a scheduled post; we are planning a one week vacation to Rome, so just wanted to have this done before we leave.

This week's challenge theme over at Digital Pencil Too is again settled by our precious hostess  Elaine and she wants us to be

Now, what can be simpler than this? Music is part of our lives, so is crafting. Let's mix them up, I'm sure the result can't be but wonderful:)
For my card, I was inspired by a French song- Laam- Petite Soeur; I'm a French language, culture and music lover, I even speak French with my little one (who goes to a German speaking kindergarten and we are Romanians...lol).
I have been planning making a card for my sister for a long time; just didn't seem to find the right time and state of mind for that. Actually, when I first saw this image on Dorcas' blog, I knew I had to have it. I even went so far as to ask the card from Dorcas:) but she also had it done for her sis. So I actually stole the idea from here along with the sentiment:) Thanks for the inspiration sweetie. Luv ya dearly!

"Recipe":
Stamp: Mo Manning- Stepsisters
Coloring medium: copics/promarkers
Embellishments: Wild Orchid Crafts- flowers, pins and ribbon
Dies: nestabilities- Fleur de Lys Squares,
Sentiment- computer generated

Baby Christening Card

Hi everyone! It's time for another challenge over  at Mo's Digital Pencil Too but first I would like to thank all of you who played along for the last 4 challenges cause I was responsible for the themes... hehe. We've had lots of fun, so why not keep it that way and join another fun challenge this time picked by our most wonderful teamie Elaine:

Isn't that funny? I love playing with paper scraps, don't you? So, it's time for you to put together some bits and pieces of paper or whatever crosses your mind and come up with a patchwork somewhere on your card. If you need some inspiration you'll get plenty on the challenge blog so you'd better head there after taking a look at my card.

It's a card I made on request and I can tell you lots of paper and stitching went into this. Not to mention the time:). At first, I expected to use scraps but my scraps didn't fit the theme, so I ended up using lots of papers, although you can't tell it. Still, I expect you to go for scraps this time:)
The card/box card is 1 inch thick; so in case you would like to try this shape, I recommend you make it thinner, say half an inch, depends on how high your embellishing is.
I used my favorite baby boy image, it's just perfect for the occasion. You can find it here in Mo's store; of course there's a bald baby version and a girl version too:)
The sentiments are in Romanian and mean: "Congratulations" and "Your baby boy was born; Be ready for a love greater than life!"
I also added patchwork on the front of the card ; the shape is cut with Go Kreate dies.

Materials and tools used:
Stamp: Mo Manning: Baby Boy
Papers: MME- Stella and Rose, Cosmo Cricket- Togetherness, Prima- Madeleine
Embellishments: flowers and ribbon from Wild Orchid Crafts
Dies: Go Kreate Frilly Frame, nestabilities label?, Magnolia Doohikey Tilda lace die, Martha Stewart butterfly punch and nestabilities lacey circle die
Tools: Big Shot (yes, somehow, I managed to squeeze my Go Kreate die into my Big Shot:)), My Singer sewing machine- got to mention it because it did all the job...lol)
Misc: bling, glitter, distress inks;
Sentiments: computer generated

I will enter my card in the following challenges:
Digital Tuesday - We Like To Party (Any Celebration); Partytime Tuesdays - Shaped Cards; Fab 'n' Funky -  diecuts/punches; Paper Take Weekly - Anything Goes; Card Cupids - Anything Goes (create any card and then give it away to spread some joy); Paper Sundaes - Lots of Layers; Sentimental Sundaysmust include a Sentiment - Sewing or Stitching;  The Crafty Pad - One for the Boys; 2 Sisters -Fancy Folds,

Look forward to see your creations; I'm really curious about your interpretations of the theme!
Wish you all a great rest of your week!
Hugs,
