Easter already?

Hi everyone!

This is my last week as GDT at I Love Promarkers. It has been a great experience for me and I would like to thank the DT ladies for receiving me in the team:). This week's challenge is heat or dry embossing somewhere on your card. Easy peasy! That's what I thought before assembling the card. Only afterwards have I noticed my embossed panels are somehow hidden;)) But they exist - you can take my word for it:)). I just forgot about the size of the stamped image:))
Now, I would like to take this opportunity to thank Christina from Christina's Card Connection for the 50 $ voucher she offered me to spend at the Magnolia-licious store about two weeks ago when she randomly chose a couple of people who left comments on her blog.  I was really surprised as I didn't know there was a prize for that:)) (I'd say you should go and pay some visits to her, who knows?:)). She makes such beautiful cards!!!
I would also like to thank Diana Crick, the owner of Magnolia-licious store for adding Romania to shipping destinations and for the fast delivery. I was extremely surprised to get my products in under 2 weeks. My order was small and I was reluctant to place an order with the new collection believing I won't get them in less than a month. Instead, I ordered them from my European supplier and you know what? I have got them the very same day.  I have also received several beautiful charms from Diana as a gift. Thank you so much, ladies!
Well, now back to my card. I have used Tilda as shepherd from the last year  Hoppy Easter collection. My stamp came all the way from America together with the dragonflies dies and Tilda lace die. Well, I put them all together here on my Easter card added quite a few Wild Orchid Crafts flowers and some embellies here and there. I hope you like it!
Recipe:

Stamp: Magnolia- Tilda as Shepherd
Coloring medium: Promarkers
DP: Barely Mine Designs - Spring Flight
Dies: Marianne Design- forest branch, Magnolia Doohilkeys- Dragonflies and Tilda lace border, nestabilities label 8,
Embossing folders; Cuttlebug- swiss dots, flowers impressabilities
Misc: ribbon, tassels from stash, pearls from Bunny Zoe, glitter, distress inks
Sentiment: computer generated

Challenges for my card:
Just Magnolia - Eyes Down - embossing, flowers, pins (well, I only have 1 pin to match the colors, hope it counts:))
Magnolia Down Under Challenges - Lots of White (I'm not sure if I can go whiter than this;))
House of Gilli - Ribbon and Pearls
Incy Wincy Designs - Sparkle and Shine
Make it Monday - Anything goes

Creative Cowgirls - Spring or Easter
Totally Gorjuss -  Spring Has Sprung

Together Forever

Hi everyone!
I have a new card I made for Woman's  Day and I thought I should share it with you. I eventually colored one of my favorite Lili of the Valley stamps- Together Forever. I have had this stamp for a while now and haven't succedeed to make a card yet. This is a rather quick card, no glitter and too many extra embellies, and quite simple, I reckon. I am quite busy these days, plus I am trying to potty train my little one and I've got to follow his every movement and grimace...lol;))
For my card I used Cosmo Cricket papers from a digital pack called Everafter. I found it on Jessica Spargue 's website. They also have a 'One buck Wednesday', for those who don't know,  when some delicious stuff cost just 1 dollar. I wish I knew about that sooner;))

I couldn't decide between the two sentiments so I put them both:)) I think they pretty much complete each other. The red and white string from which a small decoration is tied (in my case a charm) is called 'martisor' in Romanian and it  is offered by people in my country on the 1st day of March, usually to women but not only. It is said that those who wear this 'talisman' will be strong and healthy during this year and it is also a symbol of the coming spring.
Anyways, in my country,  people are still wearing this 'martisor' pinned to theitr clothes and it has become a sign of love, friendship or appreciation and an entire 'industry' has developped around it.

Well, enough blabbing, my recipe for this card is:
Stamp: Lili of the Valley - Together Forever
Coloring medium: Promarkers
DP: Cosmo Cricket - Everafter
Embellishments: flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, ribbon, lace, martisor string from stash, charm, pearls from Bunny Zoe's, paper lace from Woodware
Dies/punches/misc: heart punch, leaves punch, nestabilities label 8, impressabilities floral embossing folder, chalks

This card is for the following challenges:
Gingerloft - Die Cuts or Punches
Let's Ink It Up - Die Cuts or Punches
Crafty Calendar -  Love
Sugar Creek Hollow  - Stitching
Delicious Doodles - floral fantasy/loads of flowers
Paper Cutz - use 3 patterned papers
Digi Doodle Shop's Best - Ribbons & Bows
Meljens Designs -  Punches
Stamp Insanity - Punch It Out
Crafts and Me - anything goes

Thanks for coming and since you are here, don't forget to enter my CANDY!!!!!!!

Hugs and have a great week!

Springtime!

Hi  everyone!
I'm happy you are here and hope your weekend is going to be full of sun and joy!
For today I made a colorful card just to express how happy I am spring is eventually here. Well, my stamps have not arrived yet but i guess it is a sign that I should be using my  older ones first because they are all gorgeous. I just love this Tilda with curls  from, I think, the Wedding Collection. I thought I should use an "accessory" such as a gate or something but I not so happy with the result. The card is thus too complicated, but well, so it's life:)) I really admire people who can make CAS, I'm really hopeless there.
I've tried to follow Jane's lovely sketch at Magnolia Down Under Challenges and get inspired from Angela's gorgeous  photo at Magnolia-licious. Well, at least I've tried:)
I have just bought a new digital paper pack from Barely Mine Designs called Spring Flight. They are just adorable.Such a pity I've pretty much covered them:(.

One for the boys...

Hey, friends!

I have another boy's card today. I'm not a "specialist":)) at these as I prefer to have lots of flowers on my cards but I must keep in mind that there are just as many boys in our lives than girls:). Plus, there are so many gorgeous stamps out there for boys! I really had a hard time choosing one for this week's challenge at Mo's Digital Pencil  where the theme is "Let's hear it for the boys". I had to write down the exact title because I just love the way Pat puts words together!:)
So I "turned upside down" Mo's shop to find a boy's stamp (not that I wouldn't already have lots of them:)). That reminds me to tell you, if you don't know this already, there's a cute 1 dollar digi for a limited period of time. All proceeds from this stamp while it is on sale will be donated to help the people of Japan. You can find it here.
Eventually, I went for Tolerance, one of the cutest, most hilarious of Mo's stamps I wanted to buy for a long time. Just look at the expression on that cat's face! It seems to have taken it lying down, love or punishment, who cares:))!

Recipe for my card:
Stamp: Mo Manning - Tolerance
Coloring medium: Promarkers
DP: Echo Park- A Walk in the Park
Misc: Ribbon from Papermania, flower made with a Sizzix die, buttons, staples, distress ink,  lace from stash
Sentiment: computer generated

Happy Birthday, Sis!

Hi everyone!
My card today is for my little sister's birthday, which is tomorrow. Well, she's not that little, she'll be 29 but she'll always be my little sister:) Love her so much! I hope she won't peek:) But since she's one of those who loves all my cards I don't think she'll be overexcited about this one:) It's not that sophisticated, but it's all in my comfort zone with papers and colors and stamp. So, why take chances?:))
I've followed the lovely sketch Bev has prepared for us at Just Magnolia and tried not to deviate from:). So I'll be just in time with my card for the challenge which closes this evening (well, my "evening":)).
For my card I chose Tilda with flowing hair from the Hoppy Easter Collection; I colored her with Promarkers but used copics for the skin (E00,51,R20). Hopefully I'll be having my new Butterfly Dreams collection next week. It is on pre-order at "Crafts you love", for my European friends. Then I hope I shall try my hand at some Easter cards:) Can't wait!!!!
Now, onto my card. Here it is:

I tried to keep simple the inside; well, at least I didn't add  too many flowers:)

Recipe:
Stamp: Magnolia - Tilda with flowing hair
Medium: Promarkers, copics for skin (E00, E51, R20)
DP: Cosmo Cricket - digital

A Man's Card

Hi, friends and stamp lovers!
This is my third card as a GDT for I love Promarkers. This week's theme is "a man's card". As simple as that.
The talented ladies at "I love Promarkers" came up with gorgeous creations this week too. You can check their work here.
For my card I chose a Kenny K image I have used previously for a friend who plays in a rock band. He liked it very much so I thought I should make another one using the same image but thoroughly different as composition. I just cannot explain to myself why I can't make two cards exactly the same, or at least similar:)

So, this is my card:

I've been using a few elements which are not frequently used in cardmaking such as leather and a CD as a "circle nestie", some crafting stones  and black vellum.
It looked interesting to me upon finishing it but since my husband said it was "awesome" I thought a man's opinion is quite eloquent in this case:)

Recipe:
Medium: Promarkers
DP: Olivia from Basic Grey
Misc; grey leather, CD, vellum, leather flower made with a Sizzix Bigs die, ribbon from stash, button, craft stones, plastic stars, staples
Sentiment: freebie- not a clue where from and some Photoshop work

You won't believe it but I've found quite some challenges for a man's card:

Kenny K Challenges - Bows, ribbon or lace
Incy Wincy Designs - for the boys
Kaboodle Doodles - Happy Birthday
Ooh La La Creations  - It's a man thing
 Crafty Pad  - Use Buttons
Sweetest Thing - SKETCH
Crafty Emma - Men only
Our Daily Bread Designs -  Leather or pearls - faux or real
Sketch Saturday - Sketch
Sassy Studio Designs  - Use Something Recycled on project (leather, CD, button)
Top Tip Tuesday - Birthday

Thanks for coming by! Have a great week!

Hugs, Iulia

Lili of the Valley wedding card

Hi dear friends!
I'm so happy I could sit for an hour in my craft room today and have this Lili of the Valley card done. I promised myself I should ink at least once every stamp I have before ordering new ones. But it seems that I keep breaking my promise since I have already ordered some of the stamps from the new LOTV animal collection. Can't wait for them to arrive!
Today I'm going to show you a wedding card using 2 LOTV stamps I have never inked before; the Mr and Mrs and a circle stamp from For you circular stamps.

Recipe:
Stamp; Lily of the Valley - Mr and Mrs
Medium;  Promarkers
Paper; Blushbutter- digital
Embellishments; Wild Orchid Crafts flowers, ribbon, paper doily, feather from stash
Misc; Magnolia die, lacey circle nesties, MD circle die, pearls from Bunny Zoe's Crafts, glitter,  ice sparkles.

Challenges for this card;
Lili of the Valley - Say It With Flowers
Delicious Doodles - use green
Southern Girls - Use Flowers
Stamp Insanity - Anything Goes, with a twist - A pop of Green or St Patty's day

Now, I also have been honored with a new blog award, this time coming from the Netherlands from Marianne. I just love this lovely lady's work. She's extremely talented and her cards always have a terrific design. I'm really touched by this sign of appreciation. Thank you, dear Marianne! Please go and check her gorgeous cards, she also has a yummy candy going on, so why not take a chance;))

This is the award;

It seems that I also have to fulfill a few tasks to 'deserve' the prize. Well, that's simple. Without too much thinking, I'll just put down whatever comes first to my mind;
1. I'm 31, married for nearly 8 years and we have a 1 year and 8 months old son, Victor
2. Love my family more than anything else.
3.I have a degree in Philology and used to be a French teacher
4. Love reading and traveling
5. I used to practice speleology during my faculty years
6. My favorite color is red
7. I only started cardmaking  during my pregnancy when I was put to bed rest, so about 2 years ago

Then, I am supposed to pass this to 8 more people. I chose the followingladies who make such gorgeous inspirational cards; Joe-Anne, Debora, Alison, Sandy, Lynne, Janet ,Cami, Sharon.
Feel free to pay them a visit! You won't be disappointed!

Choosing among so many talented ladies was a difficult task. Of course everybody deserves blog awards. The simple act of starting a blog is in my opinion an act of courage. It's not an easy task to start sharing insights from yourself with complete strangers, at least in the beginning.

Hugs to you and have a great Sunday evening!

And another baby card...

Hi again!
This is my second post for today. I've somehow managed to squeeze some time and get this one done. Dropped from Heaven

Hi everyone! Seemingly this is the "baby card week" for me! If time (= Victor, my baby) allows, I will make a third one this afternoon:).
So, today I'm sharing with you a more "non-traditional" baby card which I made for the this week's challenge at  I love Promarkers. There's a "baby themed" challenge, so make sure you choose a baby image and, of course, use promarkers in order to enter the draw. This week the prize is 5 stamps from Di's Digi Designs. Take a look see how sweet they are:)

Here's my card:

It  was a sunny day yesterday so I took a picture facing the sun. Given the sunflower theme, I thought it looked nice:) although there were some shades here in there. This cute image is from Di's Digi Designs and is called "Dropped from Heaven". The baby cutout is mounted on pads. I thought I should bring it to focus a little bit. I also added one of the butterflies on a petal:)
Given the sunflower addition which had to be yellow, I couldn't opt for "baby" colors. So I went for more bright ones, hope you still like it:)

Recipe:
Stamp: Di's Digi Designs - Dropped from Heaven
Papers: Blushbutter  - Baby Girl papers
Medium: Promarkers
Flowers: WOC
Misc: ribbon, pearls, glitter, decorative sand (for the sunflower seeds), lace from stash
Sentiment: computer generated

I also have some challenges for this cutie:
Digital Tuesday - (include a digital element) -  Welcome little one
Flourishes.Real or Faux stitches
Paper Take Weekly - Lemon, yellow or bright and Zingy
Magical Mondays - FANTASY and Spring Colours
Paper Playtime - Anything goes with a Digi
Dream Valley Challenges - New beginnings (2nd entry)
Sentimental Sundays - SENTIMENT and Pearls & Lace
Stampin' Sisters in Christ - use a Stamped Flower
Fairy Tale -- something for a child or with a child's image
Phindy’s Place - Oh Baby! Card with baby/small child image or for a baby/small child
Stamp Something - something digi
Totally Papercrafts - pearls & lace

Hope you like my "non-traditional" baby card! I surely had lots of fun making it!
Thanks for coming by! It's always with great pleasure that I read your comments!
Hugs and take care!
Iulia

On your wedding day...

Hi sweet friends!
It's been quite "complicated" around with my in-laws coming by so I haven't been able to enter my "crafting mood" these days and, which is worse, I couldn't get by your blogs to see your gorgeous, inspiring creations. I can't wait to do that as soon as I put my little one to sleep:)
So, I woke up this morning really determined to get a card done. And here it is:

I had in mind the challenge at Magnolia Down Under this time, where the theme is Flower Power. So I added quite a few flowers (it is supposed to be a wedding card, so flowers are never too many:)) but tried to keep it neat and simple:)) I reckon I've failed there:).

Recipe:
Stamp: Magnolia Flower Girl Tilda - Wedding Collection
Medium: Promarkers
Papers: Raspberry Road - Josephine Papers
Embellishments: Wild Orchid Crafts roses, spray pearls, MD creatables - leaves and swirl
Misc; ribbon, lace from stash, paper doily, ultra fine glitter, flat backed pearls from Bunny Zoe's Crafts,
Sentiment: computer generated

The challenges for this card are:
Magnolia Down Under Challenges - Flower Power
Bunny Zoe's Crafts - Spring - flowers Everywhere!
Craft Your Passion - Girly
Crazy Challenge - Here comes spring
Lexi's Creations - Flowers
Stamps R Us- For the Girls
Woodware USA - Anything goes
Dream Valley Challenges - anything goes
Stamp Something - something with flowers
DYSU Challenge #8 - Anything Goes
PCJ Challenge #4 - Anything Goes

Promarker Challenge - Sugar Rush (girly, fluffy & pretty)

That would be all for now. I'll be back tomorrow with another card on a special occasion!
Thanks for coming by!
Hugs and blessings to all of you!

Iulia
