Sweet, sweet, sweet...

Hi everyone!
It's Thursday again and I have a sweet card for you today: a cake card:) We have a high calorie challenge for you over at Digital Pencil Too this week: "Something sweet- food related!"- so why don't you browse through your Mo's images or in Mo's store to see what inspires you most for this week's challenge. There are so many food related images to choose from!!!
I chose Sugar because I love fairies and fairies who can make appear out of nowhere so many cakes are the best:)) It was such fun to color this image although I have a really poor collection of light pastel markers, well, I did my best with what I have. Definitely, more markers are on my wishlist. I kind of neglected the coloring part lately. You know, many people in my country don't really get the idea of coloring and some of them even think the image is printed:) I always have to mention that it is hand-colored and then I get the "why would anyone do this" look and by the time I explain things about copyright and stuff they really come to value the card. Anyways, if any Romanian cardmaker is reading this, I would love to meet you  just to hear other perspectives too:)

The form of the card is in fact one of the cakes in the image I magnified and printed on cardstock then used it as a template.

And a side view with an inside sneak peek:)

 Recipe:
Stamp: Mo Manning: Sugar
Coloring medium: Promarkers
Papers: Echo Park: Little Girl- from Jessica Sprague
Embellishments: Wild Orchid Crafts- flowers, ribbon and chandelier pearls, brads from stash
Nesties: classic circle and scalopped circle
Sentiment: Lili of the Valley

If I haven't succeeded to inspire you into joining this week's challenge, you'd surely find heaps of inspiration on the Challenge blog from my DT teamies. They came up with yummy stuff this week too so don't forget to pay them a visit and leave some love!

Thank you so much for coming by! Until next time big hugs to you all!

Hi Iulia, your card is absolutely stunning, fabulous idea to use one of the cupcakes in the image as your card shape. Love your coloring and even though you wrote you lack in colors, you did an amazing job! I wish I would have more patients with my copics but they are neglected for the most part. Love your work!

It's beautiful Iulia. Don't be disheartened with your lack of markers. I was laughing as you explained the situation. It's not that different in the States. Colorist are in a league of their own. I'd like to think we bring the stamped image or illustration to life : )

I missed a few beautiful cards Iulia. This cupcake one is just stunning. The way you colored this image is beyond perfectnes. Also the card below this one are gorgous. Al different but awesome in there own style. You make everything into a gem. If it is a fairy or child, or just vacation card. And Iulia it's not only the Romanian that doesn't know what it takes to color an image. People that doesn't make cards don't know so less about is. I recognize your story also in Holland. That's why I like blogland. Cardbloggers know the value of a handmake card.
Hope you have a good holiday yet, or when you go in the comming days or weeks, enjoy your time with your loveones. It's presure time.
Hugs Marianne
