A good time to get started...

Well, my blogger journey starts here, 'cause it has to start somewhere I guess. Since it's November already and Christmas round the corner, I made a few Christmas cards with high hopes that someone will someday have a look at them lol.
I mainly use digital stamps and paper as they are more accessible but also easy to resize, and also because  there's a limited offer in the scrap stores in my area. Still, I'm in love with Magnolia, LOTV and Elisabeth Bell stamps for which I have enough patience to wait long enough to be shipped.

So, this is my first card with one of my dearest Tildas,

    Recipe

Stamp - Silent night Tilda from the 2009 Magnolia Christmas Collection
Papers and sentiment- My Mind's Eye, Colourful Christmas
Flowers, swirls, frame and snowflake are Marianne design creatables
Other- Papermania ribbon and mini polka dot buttons, sewing machine, cotton lace from my stash

Tilda is coloured with copics. I'm a beginner at this so I may have not used the proper color combination but I like the way it turned out eventually. I used E50, R20, E51 and R22 for the face (I like cheeky Tildas lol), E47,E57 and E33 (hair), BG10, BG13(coat), R27, R29,G14, YG03 (poinsettias and leaves), E57,E33, E37 (boots) and some C1 for shadows. I added some ultrafine green glitter and sparkles on the coat and snowflake.

My second card  is a Mo Manning Digi. I love Mo's illustrations; they remind me of childhood and make me smile.

The stamp is called Christmas Mourn, I colored it with copics and added some white glitter. The leaves are McGill pine branch punch and a spellbinder die. The flower- which I wanted to look like a poinsettia- is made from a maple leaf punch and a dew drop from Robin's Nest.
The cardstock is impressed with Snowflake Impressabilities and then sewn to the card.

Well, that"s about all for today! Thanks for taking a look!
