Just Magnolia GDT- Exploding Box

Hi dear blogging mates! I'm back with one of my dearest projects: an exploding box. This is my last week as GDT for Just Magnolia; I had a great time designing along with some of the most talented ladies out there and I thought I'd make something special as my final project. So I went for an exploding gift box, not having some particular recipient in mind this time. So the sentiment is rather chosen at random, I might have to replace it given the opportunity. Or I might just go on and perhaps sell it as it is.
The challenge theme over at Just Magnolia is BINGO!!! I really used most of the options there...he, he. So, here;s my box-  I've taken lots of pictures- click on them for a closer look if interested in details.

And some close-ups:

Papers: Blushbutter- digital
Coloring medium: Promarkers and copics, DI
Embellishments: Flowers, metal butterfly, gold padded small butterflies, leaves and pearls, ribbon- all from Wild Orchid Crafts, lace from stash, charm from Bunny Zoe, tassel from Joanna Sheen, gems from stash.
Dies: nestabilities (classic circle, ovals, scalopped ovals, label 6), Cherry Lynn doily, Magnolia flower die.
Sentiments: computer generated

Mo Manning School Set

Hi my dear friends! Thursdays are always special to me because they announce  a new exciting challenge for us over at Digital Pencil Too! This time we are going back to school!!! No idea how this works for you out there in the wide wild world lol but here in Romania the school year used to begin on the 15th of September, that's if the Education minister doesn't have a  change mood overnight and have this changed too, as it usually happens with all the decisions in this field. It's not a laughing matter, I'm just a bit bitter about how educational matters are dealt with in my country lately and had none to complain to...:)
Ok, so back to more simple matters, such as this school set I had in mind to make for this week's challenge. Have you seen Mo's recent images? I swear I spent about 2 hours deciding on what images to ask for this months' cards I have to make as member of the DT. I just have to have them all and Mo has been so prolific these past weeks!!! Gosh, and there are so many from the old ones I simply HAVE to color too!!!
In the meantime, I will just sit back and admire them from your beautiful creations:)

Ok, so here are my pencil holder and little notebook. I kept them simple, just to focus on the image.  I chose this adorable little fellow because I also have a boy so I thought he might use this a bit later. The girl counterpart is just as sweet, you can check all the four stamps in the set here.

Just Magnolia GD card

Hi dear all! I'm back again to show you my 3rd  paper project I made for Just Magnolia as Guest Designer. Claudia prepared for us a themed challenge- use a quirk or funny sentiment. Normally this wouldn't be a problem but somehow I couldn't find a funny Magnolia in my So I went for this Strawberry Yummy Tilda I have been dying to color for some time and for a more unusual sentiment, something I don't normally use.
So, here's my card:

I really enjoy making shaker cards- love the dimension on them and the fact that I can add many kinds of little stuff in the inside to make it special.
I paper-pieced Tilda's dress and added some sort of flowersoft in the inside.

Stamp: Magnolia- Strawberry Yummy Tilda- (Sweet Rainbow collection)
Medium: copics and Promarkers
DP:K&Company- Sweet Nectar, Cosmo Cricket digital, MME for the dress
Embellies: Wild Orchid Crafts flowers, metal corners, lace and garland; charm from Bunny Zoe;
Misc: distress inks, Flowersoft, scalopped ovals nesties
Sentiment: internet- computer generated

Hope you like my little card; it was a quick one as my house is upside down these days- we are kind of redecorating (meaning we move the furniture from one room to, so no time for crafting and my stuff seems to be nowhere and
Thanks for coming by today, please take a "me time" and enter our challenge at Just Magnolia and Hanglar& Stanglar- I'm really anxious to see what you guys come up with- I've been racking my brain for this one but I guess I haven't been in a very creative mood lately.

Just Magolia GDT- Summer Calendar

Hi my lovelies! I have a short post for you today- my eyes are half closed and I'm aware that in five hours time my bedroom's door will roughly open and my little one will jump on my bed starting to pinch, bite and pull my hair. No time to waste then.
So,this is my second week as GDT for Just Magnolia and the challenge theme put forward by the DT girls is what else than "Holiday Fun!". Hope many of you are still enjoying your summer breaks; if not, this is a perfect occasion for you to plunge into a holiday mood and start creating:)
I'll show you today a summer calendar; my idea of having fun is right now observing the beautiful summery nature corners with all its lovely creatures the most talented Pauline has concentrated in the Magnolia stamps. I really enjoyed putting these 3 stamps together; I even added a few butterflies here and there for the cohesion.
The frame I created around the image includes mosaics and quilled flowers, some of my former hobbies:). The size of the calendar is that of an A4 paper and DP is DCWV Mariposa- 8x8 paper pad.

I have a bad camera these days and I also put acetate on to protect the colored image -sorry for the blurred picture.

I kept simple the calendar pages- maybe I shall add more later:)

Embellies: handmade quilled flowers, mosaic, WOC metal butterfly and rhinestones, ribbon from stash
Coloring medium: Promarkers, copics and chalks
Dies: Magnolia Doohikeys Dragonfly
Calendar: freebie from here

Thanks for coming by today! It's always great to hear from you!

Peek-a-boo Treat Box!

Hello everyone! We have a new exciting challenge for you this week at Digital Pencil Too and hope many of you will be happy to play along: "Anything but a Card"! So, time for us to think outside the box for a minute and make something different using one of  Mo's gorgeous images.
Ever since I've bought my Scor-pal I've been dreaming of making lots of boxes. Now was the time for me to try a new one. I wanted it to be a candy holder for a friend of mine who celebrated her birthday 2 weeks Which is worse is that I made this box about a week ago and half of the candies are gone...:) Hopefully I shall refill it and give it to her one day:)

The peek-a-boo box template is a design by the very talented Brenda Quintana and you can find it on the Splitcoaststampers site. I changed the dimensions as I wanted my box to be bigger- so the size of the cardstock is 8"x19". The upper side of the box will then be 4"x4" just enough to fit this adorable Mo Manning image- Bronte wants it now- one of those images which stick with me and always bring a smile on my face.

Here's a picture of the template in case someone wants to try this out. Click on the picture to  enlarge it- hope you can see the dimensions, sorry for having written them in pencil:(. In case you can't read the sizes- they are 2"-4"-2"-4"-2"-4"-1"-horizontally, and 2"-4"-2" vertically. Hope that makes sense.

Recipe for my lil box:
Image: Mo Manning- Bronte wants it now
Box Template: Brenda Quintana- Splitcoaststampers
Medium: Promarkers, copics, DI
DP: Cosmo Cricket
Dies:Cheery Lynn French Pastry Doily, circle nesties;

Hi dear friends!
I'm so happy I can eventually share with you a Magnolia card! I just wish I had time to make It's been a topsy-turvy vacation for me so far with little if none crafting time but somehow I managed to fulfill my DT tasks and even accept a new thrilling GDT spot. I love bright cheerful colors and  this rainbow themed card was the perfect opportunity for me to add as much color as I liked. Maybe I went a bit overboard but well, when don't I...hehe?
The rainbow card template and the sentiments are a challenge win from The Cutting Cafe. I thought it was a good occasion for me to use them. Thanks Regina!

Template and sentiments: The Cutting Cafe
Coloring medium: Copics and Promarkers
DP: Prima- Madeleine
Dies:Magnolia butterfly and Martha Stewart Monarch butterfly punch
Embellishments: Wild Orchid Crafts flowers, lace, rhinestones and pearls
