Secretive Tilda...

Hi, friends! I have a Magnolia card today finished just in time for the Magnolia Down Under Challenge where the theme is "Distressing". Since it closes tomorrow I thought I should make a quick card using some of my newest stuff in my stash: a Magnolia die and Olivia papers from Basic Grey (new for me, of course:)).
I chose a stamp from an older collection called Secretive Tilda. I know everybody tries to catch up with the newest stamps but I prefer to take it slowly. I've just begun blogging (in November last year) and haven't got the time to ink up but very few stamps I've been collecting over the years and it's such a pity because they are gorgeous.

All in all, this is my card:

This is the night picture, with flash on:

Stamp: Magnolia - Secretive Tilda
Medium: Promarkers
Embellishments: flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts (I inked the blue roses ), ribbon, lace from stash, ivory pearls
Dies: lacey circle nestabilities, Magnolia DooHickey Romantic Lace, MD circle die, heart punch

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Magnolia Down-Under Challenge Blog- Distressing ( the picture is quite bad so it's not that obvious, but all the panels are distressed and inked)
CCEE Stampers - distress your papers
Do You Stack Up? - anything goes
Paper Crafting Journey - anything goes
Paper Play  let's get sentimental (include a sentiment)
Paper Romance - anything goes
Rainbow Lady's - shabby chic
Samuel Taylor's Challenge  use Copic or Promarkers
Creative Cottage - fabulous florals / lots of flowers
Freshly Brewed - ribbons and bows
I Love Promarkers - stitching
Paper Pretties - glitter
Scrapbook Sisters - Lace and Pearls
The Paper Variety - stitching
Bearly Mine  - Ribbon and pearls
7 Kids College Fund - Square card

I hope you like my card although the picture is not very clear. I shall try to take a better one tomorrow.
Take care! Hugs, Iulia

My favorite colors...

Hi dear friends! Today I'm going to be quite short and just show you the second card I've made over the weekend. It took me quite a little to make it as it was not a challenge for me:). This fortnight at Lili of the Valley Challenge Blog the request is simple: use your favorite colors. How difficult is that? hehe.  My favorite set of colors this week is orange and green or rather brick orange and yellow green.

So, here's my card:

Stamp: LOTV- The little Things
Papers: Raspberry Road
Medium: Promarkers
Embellies: Wild Orchid Crafts flowers with some glitter on:)
Misc: ribbon, lace from stash, circle nestie, MD die-cut, sentiment- Photoshop

Hope you enjoy it!
Have a great week!
Hugs, Iulia

First Easter Card

Hello my  friends! I've been making 3 cards over the week-end as my hubby wanted to spend some quality time with his son while I was expected to clean up the rooms. So this is me "cleaning":)
My first card is for the weekly Digital Pencil Challenge. This time Cathy came up with a lovely sketch I tried not to deviate from. I'm not very good at following sketches, as I always seem to have some extra panel or embellies which I HAVE TO put somewhere:)). I really wanted to make a simple image-sketch card. When I looked at my card when it was all assembled, gosh, I only saw green in front of my eyes... literally... ha ha. Too much green? Who cares? Here it's snowing again! And when I thought spring was about to come....

So, having the "springtime" yearning as an excuse for my too greenish card I'm going to share it with you:

I've used this lovely brand new image called Easter Bunny. I just love it! One can notice the candor and "delicacy" only kids have when holding pets. I couldn't hold a bunny like that. But when I once took my little one to see a sweet little rabbit he nearly strangled it because of too much love:)

The ingredients for this card are:

Stamp; Mo Manning - Easter Bunny
Medium: Promarkers
DP: Cosmo Cricket (digital), distressed and machine-stitched
Flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts
Sentiment: computer generated ( the Romanian for "Happy Easter!")
Misc.: ribbon, beads from stash, nestie for the leaves, paper doily

I also found some challenges for this card:

Digital Pencil Too - sketch from Cathy
Card Cupids - buttons or ribbons
I Did It Creations - Anything Goes
One Stitch At A Time - Anything but square (my card is rectangular)
Stampin' Sisters in Christ - Use Green ( I'm pretty sure I've used some:))
Totally Papercrafts - use a digi
Pile it on - childhood dreams
Lexi's Creations – flowers
Creative Cottage - fabulous florals
Gingerloft  - our furry friends
Cute Card Thursday - Shiny, Happy Cards
Res Q - A Happy, Bright card
My Sheri Crafts – Girly
Thrilling Thursday - Show Us What You Got (anything goes)

Thank you so much for visiting! I'm off to do some cleaning:)

Hugs, Iulia

Romantic Tilda

Hi, everyone! I thought I should make a card using a Magnolia stamp today. I have so many and I never have enough time to use them all, at least once or twice. I keep buying them and shortly forget about. Then I see a gorgeous card somewhere on blogland and remember I'm having this stamp too. That's what happened with this Romantic Tilda, which I bought last year and never used. And she looks amazing! I particularly love these more romantic, elegant, ladylike Tilda and want to have them all:)

Without further ado, here's my card:

I've used a bit of everything: ribbon, lace, paper-piecing, quite a few roses, sentiment mounted on bits of the fleur-de-lys nestie (which is another item I rarely use), stitching, spray pearls. Still, I've been trying not to exaggerate with embellies and keep Tilda as the central point:)

Stamp: Magnolia -  Romantic Tilda
Papers: Blushbutter Victorian Dolls (digital) Papermania, Marianne Design, black vellum paper for the doily lace frame
Medium: Promarkers
Embellishments: Wild Orchid Crafts roses, lace, ribbon from stash
Misc; oval puncher for the sentiment, oval circle nesties, MS doily lace punch, fleur-de-lys pendant, Robin Nest dew drops, ultrafine glitter, leaf punches
Sentiment: computer generated

I really had a hard time dealing with the challenge at Magnolia-licious because I just don't feel like putting red and rose together. There are lots of Valentine/love themed papers which mix them together and some of them are nice, but I'm not really fond of the combination. So I went more for a burgundy and pale pink for my card. Hope it still complies with the requirements and, which is more important, hope you like it:)

The challenges for this card are:

I love Promarkers- paper-piecing (the umbrella)
Alota - #53 Nestabilities (or other punched shapes)
Bunny Zoe's - #9 Spring...Flowers Everywhere

Hugs to you and have a great week-end!

Spreading some love...

Hi! I have a short post today as I eventually came across a message from Becca who passed along this love award I am so honored to receive. I'm ashamed that I am a bit late in accepting it and dealing with the requisites. Thank you so much Becca for thinking of me! Big hugs to you!

Now, the requirements are to choose a few people to send this love/appreciation award on to. It was a bit hard to do that as there are so many great, inspiring blogs out there. I tried to narrow down my list by choosing a few very talented ladies whose work is amazing but have just a few followers and I wanted more people to go and check their work.

So, these are my choices, in no particular order:

I wanted to add more people but I'm pretty sure I will have more opportunities to do that in the future:)

These are the rules for this blog award:
You have been TAGGED, and if you wish to play, create a new post, and post this Love Award, tell the person who sent it to you that you accept it, add a link to them.

Then choose 3-5 people to send the award on to, add a link to their  blog, them let them know that you have sent them this award and they are tagged.

The aim for this is to try and bring unknown blogs to light so please don't send to blogs that have 3000 followers.

Thanks again Becca!
Hugs, Iulia

Mo Challenge - Valentine love

Hi everyone!

Here I am just in time for this week challenge at Mo's Digital Pencil Blog. I was a bit busy today so I thought I should make a quick card with not so many details and layers and distressing... bla bla. So I looked around and saw these lovely Wild Orchid Crafts purple/lilac cherry blossom flowers and since it's nice and sunny outside I thought of adorning a more springtime card using a sweet little image from Mo Manning. I just love "Shy" and her little bunny/bear or both:)) and she looks so pretty in purple.
The papers are Doodlebug and this cutie was colored with Promarkers. Sorry for the shadows but I really looked forward to taking a picture in a sunny day and natural lights.

So, here's my card:

The challenges for this card are:

Mo's Digital Pencil Challenge Blog - Valentine love with non-traditional colors
Ooh La La - for someone special
Bows and Berries - anything goes

The Sisterhood of Crafters.......In love with Valentines.
Scrap Creations – Spring Fever

Sugar Nellie sweetheart

Hi everyone!

I've been looking forward to make a card using one of the new Sugar Nellie digis I bought from Funky Kits and only today had I found 2 extra hours (while my little one was sleeping:) for this circle easel card featuring Verity. I followed the sketch and the color inspiration photo at the Sugar Bowl as required to enter the challenge.  I aimed at a distress look of my card and it was a bit difficult to meet all the requirements (colors and sketch) at the same time. Still, I'm quite satisfied with the result:). These Sugar Nellie images are so cute and easy to color! Love them and look forward for the new March release!

So, this is my card:

I took both night and daylight pictures but I'm not satisfied with any of them. As always, the card is prettier than in the picture:).
I haven't made a circle easel card before and I had to cut the circles manually as I don't have extra large circle dies. I added lace to alter a bit the blunt look and distressed a bit the edges.

Medium; copics (E50, E51, R20, E33,37,47, B02,41,BG10, C1,3)
Papers: Raspberry Road - Josephine Papers and Marianne Design
Flowers: Magnolia Flower dies, Wild Orchid Crafts roses
Sentiment: Mo Manning
Misc.: ribbon, raffia from a gift bottle of wine (I wonder if there are recycle challenges running these days:)), Robin Nest dew drops, lace from stash (i wish I hadn't  inked the lace with antique linen because it looks kind of dirty instead of antique, stickles.

Challenges for this card are:

Pixie Cottage: use ribbon
Lothian Crafts: pastel colours
Samuel Taylor: Copic chic

Thanks for coming by again! I hadn't expected so many comments upon my last card and I was overwhelmed by your kindness! Thank you all so much!
Have a great week!

Love is forever...

Hi, everyone!

This week at  Mo's Challenges the theme is.... what else than... "LOVE". I simply adore Mo's images and they are so fun to color. The only difficult part was to make up my mind which one to choose. Eventually I went for Jack and Ginger, one of the sweetest senior couple image ever.

 Here's my card:

The second picture was taken when the sun came out. I couldn't decide which one to post so here they are both. There's no sentiment this time as I would like to personalize it some time in the future.

Medium: Promarkers
Embellishments: Flowers WOC, Marianne design swirls, beads, lace and ribbon from stash

Thanks for coming by and have a great week!

Hugs, Iulia

Romance from Lili of the Valley

Hi crafter mates!

Why not showing to you one of my new sweet little images from Lili of the Valley? It would be so selfish to keep them for myself. The bridal couple looks so sweet and naive! The second part reminds me of myself back then:).
Since this week at LOTV the challenge theme is "Romance" I thought I could ink up these sweethearts although my entire Lili of the Valley stamp  collection would fit just as well.

Medium: Promarkers
Die-cuts: scalloped circle nestabilities, shapeabilities Fleur de lys pendant (for the sentiment), Marianne design frame, leaves
Embellishments: roses/ spray pearls/ 3mm pearls from WOC, ribbon, lace from stash, computer generated sentiment, ultra-fine glitter.

Here are the challenges :

Thanks for visiting!
Have a lovely crafting week-end!

Love makes a family:)

Hi, everyone!

I really feel into making cards these days but somehow I can't manage to organize priorities properly. I start making something then change my mind and start all over. I'm having a bunch of unfinished cards on my desk which I may not even like in a months or so and will go into the bin r get into my son's hands which is practically the same.

Somehow I managed to have this Magnolia easel card put together and kind of like the way it turned out so I shall enter it into Just Magnolia Challenge which has a "going dotty" theme this week. Not all my papers have dots on because I'm really in love with these Webster's Pages lately and keep on using them in all my Valentine/love cards.

Stamp - Magnolia - Wedding Collection - Loving Bridal Couple  colored with Promarkers
Papers - Webster's Pages- Vellum Paper 2 (digital), and the dotted ones are freebies from Pixel Scrapper
Others: Martha Stewart doily lace punch, heart paper doily, computer generated sentiment, Marianne design frame, ribbon and lace from stash

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

Well, this time it only took me 10 minutes to find challenges because love seems to be everywhere:)
Thank you so much for visiting and maybe leaving a short opinion.

Hugs, Iulia
