Just Magnolia DT - Another Fall Card:)

Hi there sweet friends! I think I went a bit overboard with autumn cards this year...lol, I think I should perhaps try out something else too, prove you I can do different...he he.
Still, looking back I realized I didn't make use of any stamp from the Turning Leaves Collection, so it was high time I did before the first snow....brrrrr.

This week we're having another simple theme for you at  Just Magnolia:

so we're hoping many of you will join in the fun! This week, we are sponsored by  Quixotic Paperie and  The Ribbon Girl with 10 pounds gift vouchers from each. Sounds great, isn't it?

If you look closer you can see I actually followed the theme:)):

It is a shaker card; I wanted it to be a bit different from my previous scenic cards so added small orange pearls inside; looks really lovely in flesh. I made some quilled flowers lately, I think they look nice on autumn cards. Here are some close-ups:

Ingredients:
Stamps: Magnolia- Turning Leaves Collection- Sunny Autumn Morning and Tilda with Daisy & Mushrooms
Coloring medium: copics, promarkers, chalks
DP: Basic Grey- Pyrus Collection
Embellishments: Woc flowers, quilled handmade flowers, mushroom made with gypsum mould, pearls from Bunny Zoe, leaves, beads and ribbon from local store
Die-cuts: Magnolia Doohikeys Fence and Bloomy Tag

This card is for sale in my Etsy Shop.

I want to enter my card in the following challenge:

Thank you all for visiting! It's great to hear from you!
Have a great weekend!

Autumn Card

Hi, everyone! I'm not so sure about autumn but when it comes to autumn cards, I surely love them!!! So I made another one for this week's challenge at Mo's Digital Pencil Too which has for you the theme of:

Ribbon and/or Bows

I'm pretty sure this is an easy one:)
So, back to my autumn card. Mo has the most exquisite fall images and the cutest kids ever. So I just picked this lovely Carolina barely carrying those huge carrots and made an autumn card. Hope you like it, because this is one of my favorite:

Here's a close-up of this cutie:

 And the sentiment:

The image is colored with copics and promarkers and the backing papers are mainly from Basic Grey- Pyrus collection. The embellishments are partly Wild Orchid Crafts and partly made especially for this card. I made the mushroom with gypsum mould then colored with acrylic paint and varnish. I rolled up some paper to make the carrots then glued some leaves.
Oh, I forgot to mention, I've also succeeded to get a new die cutting machine. Since I didn't have time to order it abroad I bought a Cuttlebug at my local store (they also had Big Shots which they strongly advised:))  and headed straight home to finish a card. Well, as expected, things were not as simple as that. There was a certain plate "missing"- the C one seemingly- for "thin" dies (lol, 80% of my dies are thin, aren't yours?:)). Have I mentioned my other plates- including the embossing ones were stuck in the Big Shot?
It's really frustrating to buy something and not be able to use it because something as insignificant as a piece of plastic is missing. It's like buying a toy for your little one and realize, when you get home, that it has no batteries:(.

I eventually managed to cut out the sentiment with some nestie labels. I found this autumn wish on the internet and designed it in Photoshop. In case you like it, please feel free to grab it:):

This card is for sale in my Etsy shop here

Lili's Little Fairies DT Card

Hi there sweet peeps!
I have another short post today, just to let you know I'm one of the lucky ladies who got chosen as part of the Lili's Little Fairies DT. I was looking forward to get to play with the LOTV cuties on a more organized basis...lol, and especially within such a talented team! So, I'm really excited and honored to be a new fairy:)

This week's challenge at Lili's Little Fairies is a simple one:

Flower Power!

or use flowers either on paper, image or as embellies, it's all up to you!

My card is somehow different from my usual style, but I really felt like making a card this morning and thank the lovely ladies for choosing me:). So I made this quick card with an older LOTV stamp, a cute little tigger/cat which I feel like squeezing a bit...lol:

Ingredients:
DP: a mixture of several brands
Coloring medium: copics, promarkers
Embellishing: ribbon, heart and pearls from stash
Die-cuts: Cheery Lynn- French pastry doily die, nestabilities, scalopped circle and standard circles small
Sentiment: Lili of the Valley

Thank you for popping in today, wish you a wonderful rest of the week!

Hugs, Iulia

Fall, fairies and...pumpkins

Hi, everyone! We are heading straight into autumn here in Romania, that's unquestionable. I should pack off all our summer clothes, that's such a sad event:(. I read on numerous blogs about people who actually love autumn, I personally hate to see the beautiful summer degrading... The good part is that I love grapes... he he... and the beautiful autumnal colors, like the ones on my card:

And back to our sheep now...lol:  our new challenge theme at Mo's Digital Pencil Too is :
Punches and Dies,

what could be easier than that? Maybe for you, not for me anymore:( my Big Shot just got jammed, fortunately not before I had finished my card. No idea how exactly I succeeded to do that, this tool always seemed to me unbreakable, well, I just can't turn the handle anymore. I guess I'll have to buy a new one soon enough:(

For my card I merged two Mo Manning stamps: this cute Fall Fairy Jensen and lots of  Pumpkins. I think it turned out nice:)

Here are some close-ups:

Sorry for the bad pics, I have problems taking them lately.

Ingredients:
Stamps: Mo Manning- Fall Fairy Jensen and Pumpkins
Medium: copics/promarkers
DP: Basic Grey- Pyrus- from Bunny Zoe- cannot find it now, I think it's retired
Embellishments: flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, ribbon from stash, button from Bunny Zoe
quilled flowers and glittered mosaic
Die-cuts: Magnolia Doohikeys- Tilda lace, nestabilities- Fancy Tags, nestabilties- ovals grand
Sentiment: computer generated

My card is for sale in my Etsy shop here.

Here's the sentiment, in case someone wants it. Just click on the pic to enlarge it and save it on your computer:

Now, on to you: hurry up and make good use of your die-cutting machines...oh, I'm so green with envy you all get to play while I just have to find a way to convince my hubby it is as important as the food we put on the table...lol.

I also have lots of challenges for my card:
Crafting for all Seasons - Things with Wings, Creative Belli -Autumn, Fab 'n' Funky -  Things with Wings, Paper Shelter Challenge -Fall colors/image, Bearly Mine - Fall Colours, Sassy Cheryl's -Die Cuts, Sweet Stamps -Shades Of Autumn, Party Time Tuesdays - Picture/Colour Challenge, One Stitch At A Time - Autumn, The Crafty Pad - Autumn Colours: Brown, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green (at least 2 colours) , Colour Me Creative Challenge -Fall Colours, Crafty Ann's - Sketch* and/or Autumnal colour scheme, Fairy Tale - Autumn

Thank you all for peeking at my part of the world, hope you are having a great time enjoying the last days of summer!

Tilda Singing Carols at Just Magnolia

Hi, everyone! It's Just Magnolia and Hanglar and Stanglar challenge day and a perfect occasion for me to ink up this lovely Tilda singing carols from the 2009 Magnolia Christmas Collection, but one of my favorite ever.

This week's theme at Just Magnolia is:
Twinkle Little Star - use stars on your project!

Hope you can see the stars:)! I admit this was a last minute addition; no idea why I made my card with this idea in mind that the challenge was something about dies and punches...lol. I must be getting old:))
This is a special Maggie, as Tilda actually uses her mouth...hehe, and people around me don't find her freakish for once. Nevertheless, Maggies are still among my favorite stamps.

Since I don't have a Magnolia door stamp, and I really think my Tilda needs a background for her performance, I used two Mo Manning digis and created a scene for her. Love the way it turned out!

My list of supplies:
Stamps: Magolia- Tilda Singing Carols
Mo Manning- Door with Wreath and Christmas Lamp Post
DP: Cajoline Scrap, Webster Pages
Coloring medium: copics, promarkers, chalks
Embellishments: Wild Orchid Crafts and tessel from Joanna Sheen
Misc: glitter, white fun flock
Sentiment: computer generated

Here's a peek of the inside too:

Hope you peeps will join us this week at Just Magnolia! Don't forget to add stars somewhere on your project though!

I will enter my card in the following challenges:

Mo Manning - Back to...Kindergarten

Hi there sweet peeps! It's challenge day at Mo's Digital Pencil Too and a chance for you to get to play with some gorgeous Mo images and some:

Buttons!

I must admit I haven't thought much about buttons when I made this huuuuuge card, it was something I had in mind for a while now and took me about 4 hours, lots of patience and heaps of double-adhesive tape...lol.

First, I printed a smaller image but part of the details and charm of each of the little guys would have been unnoticeable, so I had to enlarge it.
I wanted to make something for my nephew's teacher in kindergarten. My sister just loves Mo's images and when I showed her several boys to choose from she couldn't make up her mind. So, eventually, I thought I could add more characters and make a "little" kindergarten scene. Love it! I'll be definitely making a similar one these days for my little one too:

I know, too many colors in there:)) I just couldn't find some appropriate papers for this really big card (it's about 10 per 7 inches) and, well, since it has kids on, colors are a must:)

The sentiment is in Romanian and says:
"Wish you lots of health, patience and success in  the new school year!"

Materials:
Stamps: Mo Manning- Bossy, Two Toby, Tolerance,  Moving,  On the Pot girl.
Coloring medium: copics, promarkers
DP: Echo Park- A Walk in the Park and some Cosmo Cricket
Embelishments: flowers, buttons and ribbon from Wild Orchid Crafts
Die-cuts: Go Kreate
Sentiment: computer generated

A happy lot, aren't they...lol?
If any of you sets out to make something similar with more than two images and doesn't really figure out how, please send me an e-mail. I'll be happy to help you out. But I only know how to do this in Photoshop, so make sure you have it beforehand.

Please notice I have also included some tiny buttons, so I'm in for this week's challenge...lol!

I also have some challenges for my card:

Wild Orchid Challenges- Layer it up
Bearly Mine - Anything Goes
Pile It On Patterned Paper

Please do take a minute and visit the challenge blog here; you will find the links to my DT sistahs blogs with lots of lovely cards to spoil your eyes!

Anything Goes at Digital Pencil Too

Hi there, sweet peeps! It's challenge day at Mo's Digital Pencil Too and this time we'll just leave it to you:)

I was not very creative given the theme; I just felt like making a card the classic way using this image I've already colored and made a card with this summer but forgot to take some pics before giving it away. The lady who received it loved so much this "sophisticate" Gloria at the pool that I thought coloring it up again. Hope you like it too:)

Well, my Gloria is actually at the seaside:)
Here's a close-up of the shells/leg...lol and charms. Thought leaving aside my WOC flowers for once:).

My card list:
Image: Mo Manning- Gloria at the Pool
the flower stamp inside is an older one, not labeled unfortunately:(
Coloring medium: copics, promarkers
DP: Echo Park- Paradise Beach, Cosmo Cricket
Embellishments: shells from stash, ribbon and charms from WOC (all colored with copics), button from Bunny Zoe- Almanach collection

Thank you all for visiting me today! Its always a pleasure to hear from you!
Please, take a moment and visit my teamies blogs', starting with the challenge blog here! There's plenty of beauty to look at!
