Hi everyone!Hope you are all enjoying summer and hanging out:) We are continuously "on the move", short trips here and there just to take some advantage of the nice summer days. That's quite nice:) except perhaps for the packing-unpacking part and the lack of crafting time:( Somehow I managed to make a Magnolia card today. Guest Designer for 7 Kids College Fund

Hi  everyone!
Hope you are well and happy! Sorry for having been a stranger lately; I have had some busy weeks but hope to be back on track soon!
I've been invited to be the Guest Designer this week at 7 Kids College Fund, that's so sweet of you ladies! So this is the card I made on this special occasion. It has been a bit difficult to come up with a card following a sketch, I'm not good at that, although the sketch is fabulous:) So the theme for this week challenge is both a sketch and a beach theme, the latter being optional though. So I tried to follow the rules and came with this shaker card.
Shaker cards are so fun to make. One of these days I shall post a tutorial; just looking for some spare time:) Initially I had in mind adding sand in the inside but acetate and sand don't work well together and the sand blurs the image:(. So I went for some gold little bits and I like the result.

And a photo taken in the sun:)

This Sarah Kay image is one of my favorite ever and I really looked forward for a chance to ink it up again:) I used Rich Cocoa Memento ink for once; it just seemed to me more appropriate for this sea background. Those seashells came all the way from Punta Cana about  3 years ago...lol. I added some dimensional glaze and I just love the way they shine! The foam on the water is some white acrylic paint and Twinklets Diamond Dust. All the edges are distressed with vintage photo DI.

Supplies:
Stamp: Sarah Kay- A Kiss for Chloe
Coloring medium: Promarkers
Embellishments: seashells, ribbon from The Ribbon Girl, pearls from stash, sparkles, diamond, dust, glitter, raffia
Dies; Magnolia Doohikeys flowers, nestability scalopped ovals
Sentiment: Doodlebug

Challenges for my card:
ATC Challenges  - Beach or seaside and must be dimensional
I Did It Creations - Anything Goes
Challenge Up Your Life - #44 Recycling (seashells)
Make it colorful -  Colour a Water Scene
Totally Gorjuss -  #81 Water or Anything Wet
Stamp Something - Something with beachy colours.
Some Odd Girl -  Make a scene.
Paper Shelter Challenge -  #14 Distress
Stampavie and More -  #142 Summer

Hope you like my card:) Have a happy day and thank you so much for coming by!

Distressed Flutterby Card

Hi everyone!I had a couple of spare hours today so I thought making a quick lil' distressed card for this week challenge at Digital Pencil Too. This is the first time I don't use stitching on my card. It's Sunday and I don't stitch on Sundays but I think it turned out just fine without especially since the theme is distressing. This time I chose a boy image called Flutterby; this lovely toddler here resembles  a bit my very much adored adorable son so I loved this image the moment I saw it while browsing through my older Mo Manning images. I even forgot about it. I used a lot of Diamond stickles and even though I took my picture in the sun it is much brighter and lovely in real life. Maybe I shall try taking better shots tomorrow.

Supplies:
Stamp: Mo Manning- Flutterby
Coloring medium: Promarkers
Flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts
Dies: Magnolia Doohickeys grass and dragonfly
Misc: ribbon from WOC, pearls, punched leaves, diamond stickles, DI (vintage photo, antique linen), ultrafine glitter

Challenges:
Bronte and Bella's Challenge (Mo's Digital Pencil) -  Distressing.
 2 Sisters - Use A Digi
Crafty Emma -  Embellish It
Little Claire's  -  Sparkle

CCEE Stampers -  Flowers.
Crafty Sentiments  Children's cards.
Paper Play - Sparkle galore.

Hope you like it! Have a happy week and thank you so much for coming by! Your comments make my day!

"Here comes Summer" at Digital Pencil Too!

Hi dear all!
It is so bright and shiny these days here in Romania that I really felt like plunging into summer straight from the winter. It seems we are skipping spring these past few years and jump from boots into sandals. Quite strange though given the temperate continental climate.  Well, the calendar says it's spring but "here comes summer!" This is the  theme for this week challenge over at Digital Pencil Too where it is week two of the GDT call, my favorite competition these days...he he. Love Mo's drawings and would have joined the fun anyway. Hope many of you will. The Guest designer call will be held on the 1st and 2nd Thursdays of each month so why not take the chance?
Here's my bright summertime  card. Yes, those colors are real, take my word...he he. It's a bit too colourful, but I really needed this spot of color these days. Ah, and I love strawberries; I've been eating like mad this past week and I simply adore Mo's Strawberry Girl. Isn't she the cutest creature ever? I colored the image with Promarkers and chalks for the sky ( I followed Cabio's amazing tutorial for coloring sky only that I used chalks instead of distress inks. Thanks sweetie!). I also added some Flowersoft on the grass.
Hope you like my card- well, I did...at least it looks yummmy:))

Recipe:

Mother's Day Card

Hi everyone!
Since everybody seems to have celebrated Mother's Day, I thought I should make a Mother's Day card although our equivalent feast here in Romania would be "Woman's Day" and that was on the 8th of March. Still, a card for mother is always welcome and I really wanted to ink up my Tilda with straw hat stamp which was the first one I fell in love with from the new collection before loving them all...lol. First I thought I should make a scene with lots of flowers but realized I wanted something simple and cute. Hope you like it:

Christmas card!

Hi everyone!
I have a new Mo Manning image to share with you today! Starting with this week the challenges at Digital Pencil Too will be more special because a Guest Designer will be spotted on the 1st and 2nd Thursdays of each month! Isn't that awesome? I definitely couldn't miss this. Hope many of you will join the competition...the more, the merrier :)!!! If you are not convinced yet you should know that each GD will receive 4 free Mo Manning digi images of your choice besides the chance of joining a fabulous team! Well, I guess now there'll be plenty of competition...hehe!
The theme for this week is "Monochromatic", not exactly my cup of tea; if you browse through my blog you will know what I mean. I have never done this before but well, there's a first in everything.
I've seen people around making loads of Christmas cards and thought I should perhaps make one just for boosting the morale...lol. I'm pretty sure I will be late at making them this year too:)
I chose one of my favorite Christmas images ever- Boughs for the Wreath - and made a CAS for once:) Don't argue with me there, it has to be CAS considering the lack of embellies. I just thought it looked nice just the way it is. Still, there is a lot of glitter and stickles and Diamond Dust all over.

I haven't used Designer paper for this card but a sort of star veil or tulle I guess it is called, which looks much more beautiful in real life than in the picture. As for the red ribbon, well, if you know me, you should also know I simply had to add some color..lol.

Here's the recipe:
Stamp: Mo Manning- Boughs for the wreath
Coloring medium: Promarkers- ice greys, warm greys and black
Misc: veil/tulle, paper doily, charm from Bunny Zoe Crafts, metal corner from Wild Orchid Crafts , ribbon from The Ribbon Girl
Sentiment: Whimsy Stamps

Challenges:
Bronte and Bella's Challenge (Mo's Digital Pencil) - Challenge #81: Monochromatic.
Inspire Me Fridays - Always anything goes
Stamp Something - Use a digi.
Your Next Stamp Challenge - use a charm
A Spoonful Of Sugar -  White + One Colour
Clear It Out! -  Ribbon/Trim

Sweet Stampin - must Stamp - childhood memories

Wish you all a wonderful rest of the weekend and thank you so much for coming by!

I think these Kenny K digis are just perfect for a not so serious, funny young man as he is.
