Tilda, Edwin and... Pippin

Hi everyone!
I have two cards to share with you today! Hope you won't get bored with so many pictures...hehe.
I have really missed my Magnolias lately and thought I should make a card using both Tilda and Edwin for the Magnolia-licious Highlites challenge which ends tomorrow.  Sharon said we shoul use both Tilda and Edwin on our cards so I did:) but added one more Tilda just for the symmetry:). I chose 3 stamps from the Magnolia 2011 Butterfly Dream Collection- oh, how I love these and made a sort of  accordion card or something because I really felt like using my Scor-pal these days:) Hope you like it!

Mo's and Zo's Carnival Hop

Hi everyone!
I hope you are all well and happy and spent a beautiful relaxing Easter holiday! I surely did! Sorry for not having been around to comment on your beautiful creations during the past week or so, I shall do my best and catch up with my visits.
I didn't have much crafting time this week but I really wouldn't want to miss the fabulous theme at Digital Pencil Too challenge blog- CARNIVAL!!!! Well, how does that sound? I really wanted to make something special but, really this lack of time is killing me. So, I put together this colorful card I colored last night...lol and ... hope you like it!

So, here's the thing- and I quote from the challenge blog (I guess these are Ms Pat's words:):

"Zoe from Make it Crafty and Mo from Mo’s Digital Pencil, came together to share the delight and fun of The Carnival. To help celebrate this week's challenge at Mo's DP2 Challenge Blog, Zoe's and Mo's fabulously talented teams have joined forces for one MASSIVE blog hop to give us more than a little creative inspiration...."

The prizes are magnificent for those participating in this blog hop so make sure you take a look on the challenge blog page and follow the requirements there in order to enter the drawings. There are some fabulous cards from the DT ladies you surely wouldn't want to miss! There is still time - about 15 hours from what I can see- plenty of time to collect letters and have fun on the way!

For my card I digitally masked (gosh, that was a bit tough) one Mo Manning image- Abby celebrating and one Make it Crafty image- Circus Tent. I really had a lot of fun coloring and I shall try and make more scenic cards in the future although I'm not an expert in coloring. But they are such fun to make!

Magnolia-licious Extravaganza Contest

Hi,  everyone!

Eventually I'm back with a new card. It's been a topsy-turvy week and although I had great crafting plans, it turned out I had other priorities to deal with. I had in mind to make a project for the Magnolia-highlites Easter/Spring Extravaganza Contest which ends on the 19th but since I have too little time left and so many other things to do I shall have to resume to this card I made for the same contest 1st category- full size Magnolia stamp on a card.
I couldn't decide upon which Magnolia stamp I was going to use. I have ordered the entire collection and I just have to use them all at least once. They are all so beautiful! Even my husband who was a bit shocked by them being mouthless stated now he must admit  they look gorgeous. Since Easter is just around the corner I thought I should have 2 bunny Tildas and 1 Tilda with a lamb. Glad, I stopped here, otherwise my card would have quickly turned into an album or something...lol.
I'm not a pink person (so strange, because everyobody is...lol) but I realize I had a lot of pink stash. The card is slightly bigger as I didn't want everything too crowded but  I'm quite satisfied with the result! Hope you like it too!

Recipe:
Stamps: Magnolia- Tilda and her bunny, Tilda with stuffed animal, Tilda with hanging rabbit, Spring background
Coloring medium: Promarkers
Dies: Magnolia Doohickey- Tilda lace border, swirl die , lovely fence die,
nestabilities scalopped circles, Marianne design circles
Embellishments: Wild Orchid Crafts flowers and metal corner, the lovely bunny charm is a  gift from Diana, the owner of the Magnolia-licious store (thank you so much:)), pearls from Bunny Zoe, ribbons from stash, a pink feather- it's  hardly noticeable in the picture, sorry for that, paper doily
Misc: diamond dust, sparkles, acetate, black vellum
Sentiment: freebie from Wendy- thank you sweetie

Challenges:
Crafty Catz Furry friends.
Stampin For The Weekend -Challenge #7: Easter.
Wags 'n Whiskers - Black, pale green, light pink, white/cream.

How does your garden grow?

Morning peeps,
My card today should have depicted an answer to "How does your garden grow", which is the theme lovely  Dorcas has set for this week's Digital Pencil Too challenge. Well, I guess I don't have to be completely honest about my answer to that...lol. I'm far from being a gardening lover but I do love the fields full of flowers where my sister and I used to play from morning till nightfall when we were kids. Those were such happy times!
It wasn't hard to find a happy cheerful image for my card. There are plenty of them in Mo's store. I fell in love with this adorable Sunday Child from the moment I saw her. I am a Sunday child too and her attitude really reminds me of myself about 20 years ago. Well, why not make a card for myself...lol?
Well, enough blabbling, this is my card:

Recipe:
Stamp: Mo Manning- Sunday Child
Coloring medium: ProMarkers, chalks, Faber Castell pencils
Papers: My Mind's Eye
Embellishments: Wild Orchid Crafts flowers, ribbon, charm from stash
Dies/punches: Magnolia Doohikeys- dragonflies, swirl, Tilda border lace
Sentiment: Whimsy stamps

Challenges for my card:
Digital Tuesday - include a digital element - Female Image On Card/project
Flourishes -  Flowers, flowers everywhere
Paper Take Weekly -  Dimension somewhere On Your Card (the image is mounted on pads)
Sweet Stamps - For The Ladies
Top Tip Tuesday - Spring Has Sprung

Creative Stamp Friends Swirls
Paper Sundaes Childhood Memories.

Big hugs to you and have a happy week ahead!

Gift Wrapped

Happy Saturday everyone!
I am back with a Lili of the Valley birthday card in green and peach (well, I have peach and orange altogether) for today bearing in mind that I should ink at least once all the stamps that I already have. There are slight chances but at least I do my best...lol.
So, this week's theme at Lili  of the Valley challenge blog is a color scheme of peach and green. Love this color combo although for my card I have some orange-like peach...lol. But I simply had to use these MME - Mabel papers which I jost got from Bunny Zoe.
I chose this supercute Gift Wrapped image from LOTV and made a stair step fold card for a change. No idea if the dimensions are those from tutorials, never looked for one. I just scored  wherever I found fit and here it is:

The dimensions of the non-assembled card are 6x15 inches and the mountain folds are at 1 1/2, 5, 11. The valley folds are implicitely at 3, 7 and 13. Maybe it would have been better not to add panels in the inside areas and make it thus easier to close and reduce its thickness. But I found it 'unfinished' without.

The card is very thick although I tried to make it 'usable' and it fits in a box.
My flowers are quilled and called fringed flowers, quilling being just an old passion of mine I ressort to whenever I want some relaxation. They are quite easy to make but require some extra time. I think they look pretty and dainty, more like blossoms, perfect for springtime.

Recipe:
Stamp: Lili of the Valley - Gift Wrapped
Coloring medium: ProMarkers
Embellishments: handmade flowers, button, ribbons from stash, the green one is Papermania, pearls from Bunny Zoe, flowersoft
Dies: Spellbinders+ Parisian Accents, nestabilities labels, Martha Stewart butterfly punch, leaf punch

Challenges for my card:
Lili of the Valley -  Peach & green.
Card Makin' Mamas -  embellish it.
Fairy Tale -  Happy birthday.
Fashionista Friday - Spring.
Wags 'n Whiskers - Ribbons & Pearls.
