Secretive Tilda...

Hi, friends! I have a Magnolia card today finished just in time for the Magnolia Down Under Challenge where the theme is "Distressing". Since it closes tomorrow I thought I should make a quick card using some of my newest stuff in my stash: a Magnolia die and Olivia papers from Basic Grey (new for me, of course:)). 

I chose a stamp from an older collection called Secretive Tilda. I know everybody tries to catch up with the newest stamps but I prefer to take it slowly. I've just begun blogging (in November last year) and haven't got the time to ink up but very few stamps I've been collecting over the years and it's such a pity because they are gorgeous.

My favorite colors...

Hi dear friends! Today I'm going to be quite short and just show you the second card I've made over the weekend. It took me quite a little to make it as it was not a challenge for me:). This fortnight at Lili of the Valley Challenge Blog the request is simple: use your favorite colors. How difficult is that? hehe.  My favorite set of colors this week is orange and green or rather brick orange and yellow green.

First Easter Card

Hello my  friends! I've been making 3 cards over the week-end as my hubby wanted to spend some quality time with his son while I was expected to clean up the rooms. So this is me "cleaning":)

My first card is for the weekly Digital Pencil Challenge. This time Cathy came up with a lovely sketch I tried not to deviate from. I'm not very good at following sketches, as I always seem to have some extra panel or embellies which I HAVE TO put somewhere:)). I really wanted to make a simple image-sketch card. When I looked at my card when it was all assembled, gosh, I only saw green in front of my eyes... literally... ha ha. Too much green? Who cares? Here it's snowing again! And when I thought spring was about to come....

So, having the "springtime" yearning as an excuse for my too greenish card I'm going to share it with you:

 

I've used this lovely brand new image called Easter Bunny. I just love it! One can notice the candor and "delicacy" only kids have when holding pets. I couldn't hold a bunny like that. But when I once took my little one to see a sweet little rabbit he nearly strangled it because of too much love:)

Romantic Tilda

Hi, everyone! I thought I should make a card using a Magnolia stamp today. I have so many and I never have enough time to use them all, at least once or twice. I keep buying them and shortly forget about. Then I see a gorgeous card somewhere on blogland and remember I'm having this stamp too. That's what happened with this Romantic Tilda, which I bought last year and never used. And she looks amazing! I particularly love these more romantic, elegant, ladylike Tilda and want to have them all:)

Without further ado, here's my card:

 

I've used a bit of everything: ribbon, lace, paper-piecing, quite a few roses, sentiment mounted on bits of the fleur-de-lys nestie (which is another item I rarely use), stitching, spray pearls. Still, I've been trying not to exaggerate with embellies and keep Tilda as the central point:)

I really had a hard time dealing with the challenge at Magnolia-licious because I just don't feel like putting red and rose together. There are lots of Valentine/love themed papers which mix them together and some of them are nice, but I'm not really fond of the combination. So I went more for a burgundy and pale pink for my card. Hope it still complies with the requirements and, which is more important, hope you like it:)

Spreading some love...

Hi! I have a short post today as I eventually came across a message from Becca who passed along this love award I am so honored to receive. I'm ashamed that I am a bit late in accepting it and dealing with the requisites. Thank you so much Becca for thinking of me! Big hugs to you!

Mo Challenge - Valentine love

Hi everyone!

Here I am just in time for this week challenge at Mo's Digital Pencil Blog. I was a bit busy today so I thought I should make a quick card with not so many details and layers and distressing... bla bla. So I looked around and saw these lovely Wild Orchid Crafts purple/lilac cherry blossom flowers and since it's nice and sunny outside I thought of adorning a more springtime card using a sweet little image from Mo Manning. I just love "Shy" and her little bunny/bear or both:)) and she looks so pretty in purple. 

The papers are Doodlebug and this cutie was colored with Promarkers. Sorry for the shadows but I really looked forward to taking a picture in a sunny day and natural lights.

Sugar Nellie sweetheart

Hi everyone!

I've been looking forward to make a card using one of the new Sugar Nellie digis I bought from Funky Kits and only today had I found 2 extra hours (while my little one was sleeping:) for this circle easel card featuring Verity. I followed the sketch and the color inspiration photo at the Sugar Bowl as required to enter the challenge.  I aimed at a distress look of my card and it was a bit difficult to meet all the requirements (colors and sketch) at the same time. Still, I'm quite satisfied with the result:). These Sugar Nellie images are so cute and easy to color! Love them and look forward for the new March release!

So, this is my card:

 

I took both night and daylight pictures but I'm not satisfied with any of them. As always, the card is prettier than in the picture:).

I haven't made a circle easel card before and I had to cut the circles manually as I don't have extra large circle dies. I added lace to alter a bit the blunt look and distressed a bit the edges.

Love is forever...

Hi, everyone!

This week at  Mo's Challenges the theme is.... what else than... "LOVE". I simply adore Mo's images and they are so fun to color. The only difficult part was to make up my mind which one to choose. Eventually I went for Jack and Ginger, one of the sweetest senior couple image ever.

 Here's my card:

 

The second picture was taken when the sun came out. I couldn't decide which one to post so here they are both. There's no sentiment this time as I would like to personalize it some time in the future.

Romance from Lili of the Valley

Hi crafter mates!

Why not showing to you one of my new sweet little images from Lili of the Valley? It would be so selfish to keep them for myself. The bridal couple looks so sweet and naive! The second part reminds me of myself back then:). 

Since this week at LOTV the challenge theme is "Romance" I thought I could ink up these sweethearts although my entire Lili of the Valley stamp  collection would fit just as well.

Love makes a family:)

Hi, everyone!

I really feel into making cards these days but somehow I can't manage to organize priorities properly. I start making something then change my mind and start all over. I'm having a bunch of unfinished cards on my desk which I may not even like in a months or so and will go into the bin r get into my son's hands which is practically the same.

Somehow I managed to have this Magnolia easel card put together and kind of like the way it turned out so I shall enter it into Just Magnolia Challenge which has a "going dotty" theme this week. Not all my papers have dots on because I'm really in love with these Webster's Pages lately and keep on using them in all my Valentine/love cards.
